The Libearty Bear Sanctuary

Over a hundred rescued bears, in the forest at the edge of Zărnești.

Bears taken out of cages and small provincial zoos, now living in a large forest. Visits are guided and at set times only, so book ahead.

It is a quarter of an hour by car. Children remember this day more than any mountain.
