Repowering at Cernavodă: 24 turbines become 9

Our first turbines are retiring. In their place comes three times as much energy, on the same land.
After fourteen years, the Cernavodă farm enters its first rebuild. We will take down the original 24 turbines and install nine, with rotors over 160 metres.
What changes
Annual output nearly triples, and access roads are cut in half. Materials from the old blades go to recycling, in a programme we are piloting with the supplier.
